Book Buddies Update – May 2019
April was a very busy month at Book Buddies. Our terrific volunteers contributed more than 300 hours of sorting, counting, and boxing donated books. They were so efficient and on-task that they regularly emptied a huge container of books in a two-hour session. This is a tremendous amount of work, but our volunteers

Reading Buddy Tip – April 2019
One common note in Reading Buddy folders is, “My student read the book well, but had difficulty answering the questions on the back of the book.” When students struggle to answer questions about a text it means they likely need more support with reading comprehension. Reading comprehension is a skill
