Half Price Books (HPB) is pleased to support local literacy organizations during National Literacy Month. This year HPB has several ways to support area literacy partners including San Antonio Youth Literacy! We hope you are as excited about September as we are! Here are the details:
Join us for our fall luncheon featuring a panel discussion on academic inequality in San Antonio, featuring a presentation by Dr. Christine Drennon, Associate Professor of Sociology and Anthropology at Trinity University and panel discussion with Sarah Baray, CEO of Pre-K 4 SA, and Dr. Mohammed Choudhury, Chief Innovation Officer for SAISD, moderated by Robert Rivard.
Tables of 8 start at $2,500 with plenty of other sponsorship levels available. Individual tickets are $200 per person with a special price of $50 for active Reading Buddy volunteers.

Book Buddy News
Our Goal This Year: Book Buddies are shifting into high gear to bring even more books to kids in Title I schools next spring. Last year’s total of 40,000 books was great, but we hope to come close to doubling that in the 2018 – 2019 school year.
How? The same way we doubled our total between 2017 and 2018: hard work and a little help from our friends. Read more >>
