Join us for SAYL’s annual luncheon featuring a conversation with Naomi Shihab Nye, moderated by Robert Rivard on Thursday, September 5.

Local author Naomi Shihab Nye began her writing career at the age of 7. She is the author or editor of over 30 books including poetry collections, short stories, novels, children’s and young-adult literature, and essays. She is currently on the faculty at Texas State University and was recently named the Young People’s Poet Laureate by the Poetry Foundation. Robert Rivard is the founder, editor, and publisher of the Rivard Report, a nonprofit, nonpartisan digital news organization with a focus on San Antonio and Bexar County.
